Responsibilities

Maintain all required certifications and credentials for the position and remain current with applicable court reporting rules, regulations, and professional practices

Prepare, teach, and deliver assigned courses in accordance with approved course syllabi and instructional standards

Develop, review, and update course syllabi and instructional materials on a regular basis; recommend and assist with curriculum revisions as appropriate

Create and maintain an effective learning environment that supports diverse learning styles and utilizes appropriate teaching methods

Supervise students in classroom and testing environments to ensure a safe, productive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Administer and supervise examinations; grade assessments; record and maintain accurate student performance data; and utilize formative and summative assessment techniques to enhance teaching and learning outcomes

Receive, review, process, file, and submit required academic and administrative documentation, including attendance records, grade sheets, registration materials, payroll documentation, and other related reports

Maintain accurate registration, attendance, and payroll records for all courses taught

Identify and report instructional material, equipment, and operating supply needs to the CE Business & Workforce Licensure Director

Assist in maintaining classroom environments that emphasize safety, good housekeeping, and equipment security

Maintain confidentiality of student, instructor, and staff information in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); consistently monitor work areas to ensure data protection
