Responsibilities

You want to serve as the authoritative resource for Office of Patent Automation (OPA) relative to the Information Technology business requirement process
You're committed to solving significant problems complicated by interfaces and interrelationships between and among programs, systems, functions, policies and numerous critical issues
You want to take the lead as a project management group leader responsible for integrating patent examining expertise during the development of automated systems serving patent examiners
You enjoy planning and organizing, major analytical studies involving the substance of key age patent business programs

Specialized experience includes: Applying patent examination expertise to develop business requirements and user guidance for automated systems; Collaborating with external stakeholders, examiners, and patent staff to improve tools used from filing through final disposition; Translating examination processes into practical, user-centered solutions that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across end-to-end prosecution
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level
