Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and manage acute and chronic illnesses while considering their impact on mental health
Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use, while considering potential interactions with psychiatric medications
Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings, integrating the findings with mental health care plans
Educate members on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions, emphasizing the connection between physical and mental well-being
Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation that integrate with mental health care plans
Participate in ongoing professional development and attend regular team meetings to review and discuss patient care, fostering a collaborative environment
Uphold Amae Health's commitment to providing compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive care
Adhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standards

Qualification

Required

NP Degree from an accredited school or MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Massachusetts
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
Previous experience working independently as a PCP
Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and embrace a whole-person care approach
Strong commitment to patient-centered care
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the organization and our members

Preferred

For NP PCP candidates, minimum of 5 years RN experience prior to PCP licensure and 1+ year experience as FNP after completion of clinical hours is preferred
Preferred experience in primary care for patients with severe mental illness
Preferred experience in whole-person, holistic, integrated care
