Telecommunications Systems Technician III
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is a leader in emergency management and homeland security. They are seeking a Telecommunications Systems Technician III who will be responsible for resolving complex public safety communications issues and overseeing the work of other technicians.

Responsibilities
Responding to and resolving the most critical and complex public safety communications problems for State Agency clients
Perform the full range of technician responsibilities required to ensure the continued operation of all public safety communication network/systems and equipment
Communicate effectively on all written and verbal interactions, frequently interfacing with customers and co-workers to resolve issues and collaborate
Plan, organize, oversee, and coordinate the work activities of other technicians within an assigned geographic shop or microwave area to ensure the quality, quantity, and timeliness standards are met
Assist to obtain the resources required to facilitate proper completion of work and foster communications with individuals, organizations, and other public safety agencies served
Maintain a professional and team-centered environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Work proficiently with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Travel to and work in remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather conditions
Qualification
Required
Comprehensive knowledge of all public safety communication network/systems, including the most critical and complex
Ability to respond to and resolve critical and complex public safety communications problems for State Agency clients
Experience in leading and overseeing the work activities of other technicians
Effective communication skills for written and verbal interactions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required
Valid California Driver's License (CDL)
Ability to travel to and work in remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather conditions
