Responsibilities

Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to build strong, reliable frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs in accordance with blueprints and building codes

Skillfully install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, molding, and other fixtures, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail for both interior and exterior elements

Perform repairs on existing structures, replace damaged or worn components, and ensure buildings remain in good condition and meet safety standards

Adhere to all safety protocols and building regulations, and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment

Required

Previous carpentry experience on commercial projects (e.g., hospitals, schools, grocery stores, parking garages, etc.)

Flexibility in your work schedule

Strong decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills

A high-quality approach and will make safety a priority in your daily work routine

Passion about learning and growing your skillset

Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds

Depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards

Ability to hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment

Good finger manipulation

Constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. and maximum single person lifting of 50 lbs

Ability to get assistance from a co-worker for items over 50 lbs

Ability to climb on light or heavy equipment

Ability to carry and use hand tools

Standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift

Ability to work in outside temperatures from 25 - 115 degrees
