Vibration Analyst

Responsibilities

Vibration route data collection, analysis, and reporting
Vibration monitoring system maintenance and management
Trouble calls, quality assurance checks after equipment maintenance actions, and follow-up checks on vibration monitoring system alarms
Using several software applications for monitoring mill operations and vibration systems
Inputting work orders for equipment issues
Attendance of weekly meetings in areas of responsibility
Participation in efforts to increase equipment and mill reliability—including learning and using other PdM technologies as applicable

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Good communication skills
Aptitude for and commitment to ongoing professional and technical skill growth
Ability to both work independently in assigned areas of responsibility and as a team member supporting the PdM department and other areas of the mill
Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Thorough understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.)
Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
Able to wear and comply with all personal protective equipment (Eye and ear protection, steel-toed shoes, etc.)
Able to work extended hours including nights, weekends, & Holidays. Able to work overtime as needed
Provide maintenance supervisor call duty several times per year

Preferred

2 or 4 year Technical Degree preferred
Vibration Analysis experience, training, and certification CAT I or CAT II preferred
Experience with AMS Machinery Manager Software preferred
Experience with field balancing rotating equipment preferred
Experience in working with computerized maintenance system (JD Edwards) preferred
Experience with troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
