Sales Business Intelligence (BI) Lead

The Sales Business Intelligence (BI) Lead will build data infrastructure and deliver actionable sales insights, collaborating with Sales Leadership and Data Engineering to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Serve as the founding member of the Sales BI function, delivering high-impact dashboards and reports for commissions, pipeline health, and sales performance
Translate business needs into scalable BI outputs and align technical infrastructure with revenue-driving goals
Define and implement consistent KPI frameworks, enforce data quality standards, and introduce AI-powered analytics to enhance insight generation
Standardize reporting surfaces and processes to enable self-serve access, reduce manual reporting, and improve operational efficiency
Establish foundational governance, documentation, and best practices to scale the BI function for the future
Collaborate with cross-functional BI teams to ensure alignment and eliminate duplication
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Revenue Operations, or Analytics—preferably in SaaS or tech
Advanced SQL skills and hands-on expertise with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
Proven ability to design dashboards and reporting frameworks aligned with sales metrics and workflows
Strong understanding of key sales KPIs, funnel stages, and pipeline forecasting
Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
A self-starter mindset and comfort operating as an individual contributor in the early stages of function building
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
Preferred
Experience integrating AI-driven analytics and automation into BI workflows
Background in mentoring or upskilling others in BI practices
