Responsibilities

Building Management –Works with all components of assigned buildings and its operation, maintenance and repair
Perform routine checks of all components of the building, identifying those that require repair
Serves as the main point of contact for any and all issues with assigned building from stakeholders, occupants and other campus entities
Manages trade(s) workers and their specific work in and around Athletics facilities
Identifies, priorities, assigns and track work for the employees and ensures task was done on time and provides assistance when requested
May oversee and provide direction to student workers that assist with facility setups and facility tasks
Serves as the facility support staff member for any sporting and special events held in the assigned buildings
Works closely with Athletics event staff on setups and the operation of sporting events and ensues technical and equipment portions of event are running appropriately
In conjunction with managing specs of the assigned facilities, work closely with vendors, contractors and campus stakeholders on work they perform within a building
Update and maintain work agreements with Campus Facility Services, approve work orders, and ensure required maintenance is scheduled
As requested, perform quality control checks across various facilities identifying areas of improvements, new projects and issues that will be addressed by facility staff

Required

Thorough knowledge in and/or can quickly learn the areas of building space planning, codes, capacity, security, fire safety, organization and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Thorough interpersonal skills including good service orientation and effective problem solving
Knowledge of architectural or engineering concepts
Thorough and effective skills to multi-task and prioritize daily activities effectively
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
