Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog
Lead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level wireless networks
Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives
Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements
Maintain technical architecture documentation
Troubleshooting and problem resolution
Change management
Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
Strategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services
Qualification
Required
8-plus years in Network Services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline
At least one of the Cisco CCIE certifications, both written and practical
Specializations needed in Cisco Certifications: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
Must be able to Obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
