Entry Level Aviation Civil Engineer

Trilon Group is a professional aviation engineering firm focused on airport planning, design, and construction. They are seeking an Entry Level Aviation Civil Engineer to manage projects and perform civil engineering design for airport-related projects, requiring technical expertise in airside and landside designs.

Responsibilities

Design of Airfield projects including runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, fuel systems, and NAVAIDs
Design of concrete and asphalt pavements
Develop specifications and final design of projects
Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
Prepare preliminary and final engineering reports and feasibility studies
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, including the FAA, state aviation officials, and other state and local regulatory agencies
Stormwater, erosion, and sediment control design
Provide assistance and develop construction cost estimates and perform quality control reviews
Assist with the training and developing of engineering intern staff and technicians as needed
Develop project phasing and scheduling

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Current Engineer Intern Certificate or licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia (or ability to obtain)
0-5 years of civil engineering design experience on transportation projects; aviation project experience preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Must be capable of effective oral and written communication; work in a team-oriented manner, and possess analytical and organizational skills
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
