The Cost Accounting Analyst performs cost analysis related to production costs and margins, supports process evaluations to reduce production costs, and aims to increase profit margins.

Responsibilities
Work with R&D, Product Development, and Costing Team to evaluate current Cost to Produce and New Item evaluations
Track production costs and activity and provide insight into areas that need cost reductions, process improvements or profit improvements
Assist with the analysis of all material usage, labor costs and pounds per hour
Analyze sales data to support reports that outline low margins and higher than expected production costs
Work with Finance Team to Monitor Obsolete and Non-Existing Inventory
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field
1 – 3 years of experience with cost account analytics
Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products
Familiarity with the basic cost accounting principles and procedures
Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
Sitting for extended periods of time while working on computer
Reliable transportation required
Preferred
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Solid project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
