Responsibilities
Manage various aspects of the monthly financial close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. Ensure deadlines are met and financial data is accurate and complete
Supervise, mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations, controls, compliance and mitigate risk
Collaborate cross-functionally to lead and influence accounting and finance related projects
Partner with Operations, IT, and other departments to support business goals and provide financial insights
Design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency
Identify and implement audit automation and efficiency improvements across accounting workflows
Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, helping to ensure timely completion of annual audits
Continued focus on improving financial and accounting systems by participating in system implementations and upgrades
Utilize NetSuite and advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis
Varied special projects in reporting, ad hoc tasks, and on-going strategic initiatives

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Must be available to work during Pacific Time Zone hours
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in accounting leadership
Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing team members, with direct supervisory responsibility
Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing environments
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Excel
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred
CPA preferred
Audit experience at Big 4 or large national/regional firm preferred
