Roaming Transmission Work Planner

They are seeking a Roaming Transmission Work Planner who will be responsible for inspecting power line rights-of-way, performing tree health assessments, and maintaining communication with clients and property owners.

Responsibilities

Inspect power line rights-of-way to assess vegetation conditions and determine required maintenance activities based on client specifications
Maintenance planning activities including machine work, herbicide application, capital projects, and unplanned response work. Worker completes plans thoroughly and with a high level of accuracy
Perform tree health assessments – Level 1 and Level 2, Tree Risk Assessment
Notify property owners of assessment being performed, when necessary
Inform property owners of required vegetation management work and obtain necessary permissions
Research and document property ownership for owner notifications
Exhibits experience and skills required to negotiate complaint resolutions
Document and record information with mobile device using GIS software
Operate with the highest level of personal and public safety
Communicate daily with the utility client, contractors, landowners and the general public. Includes responding to emails/phone calls promptly
Perform duties in a manner that will promote and maintain good public relations
Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization
Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Must have solid tree identification skills and the ability to read maps
Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and attention to detail
Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
Must have basic computer skills
Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check
All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record

Preferred

Current ISA arborist certification
Current ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) certification
Bachelor's or Associates degree in Forestry, Environmental Science or related field preferred
Previous Forester/Arboriculture/Tree Care working experience
