Ziff Davis Shopping is a digital media company focused on enhancing consumer shopping experiences. They are looking for a Video Editor & Producer to create engaging short-form video content, collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality production and alignment with brand voice.

Responsibilities
Own editing and post-production for short-form, social-first video content and recurring series—delivering work that’s platform-optimized and visually compelling. This will include dynamic motion work in After Effects and, if needed, other rendering software programs
Ability to operate camera equipment for both in-studio and on-location shoots, capturing high-quality footage for branded content and organic social campaigns
Collaborate and have a strong point of view with creative teams to develop concepts, storyboards, and episode outlines for ongoing social series
Quickly edit footage, add music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to create engaging, trend-aware content
Review scripts and raw material to create shot lists and ensure logical sequencing, pacing, and storytelling flow
Contribute to on-set production needs, including lighting, sound, and direction when needed
Have a working knowledge of proper post-production protocol regarding the safety and accessibility of digital assets (DIT and/or Data Wrangler)
Stay on top of social platform trends, emerging video formats, and editing techniques to keep content fresh and engaging, and have the confidence to bring them to the table
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure creative alignment and consistent brand voice across all video content
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio of short-form, social-first content and series that demonstrated proficiency in motion design
At least 1–2 years of hands-on production and camera operation experience
An understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting techniques, and framing. This includes proficiency in using various types of cameras and equipment to capture high-quality video footage
Ability to operate and carry camera equipment (up to 25 lbs)
Experience with Blackmagic and Sony cameras, as well as standard audio recording technology like Sound Devices recorders and RODE mics as well as products from Sennheiser and Deity
Experience managing freelance video production support, as needed
Demonstrated skill with video editing software platforms, specifically proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, (Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar)
Strong understanding of how to tailor content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
Knowledge of production fundamentals, including lighting, sound, and framing for social-first video
Strong storytelling instincts with a sharp sense of pacing, timing, and visual continuity
Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
Experience with creating vertical-specific reels (for example, a 15 second video highlighting all work done for food brands) to help showcase and sell a given category of business
Creative problem-solver with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
Preferred
Bonus: experience producing for CPG, QSR, or lifestyle brands
