Responsibilities

Assist with processing purchase requests for goods and services for small orders including researching issues with outstanding orders, exchanges, and credits from vendors
Verify vendors hold on state and federal systems
Engages with university departments and vendors as needed
Provide guidance and training as needed in areas of responsibility. Manage the departmental purchasing mailbox and ensure timely responses
Ensure processes align with university, state, and federal regulations, including record retention policies
Maintain documentation and implement best practices
Project tracking and management
Other duties as assigned to include acting as a backup to team members as directed by the supervisor

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field or high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant procurement, purchase order processing, and/or vendor management experience
Small Purchase Order transaction experience at UT
Experience working with semiconductor vendors or in a semiconductor manufacturing work environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, Adobe, and Docusign
Ability to interpret policies and implement procedures effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor and commitment to customer service
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
