Responsibilities

Provides facilitation and direction for a multidisciplinary trauma service for an assigned Trauma Center
Works with the Program Director for Trauma Services to implement and monitor systems to enhance care of trauma patients receiving services
Serves as a resource for inter-intra disciplinary team members and patient families that participate in the care of trauma patients
Develops and applies standards and research to enhance quality of patient care
Implements and evaluates performance improvement
Develops effective working relationships with all system providers and management
Supervises assigned staff and participates in the development and monitoring of the assigned budget

Qualification

Registered Nurse licenseBLS certificationACLS certificationTNCC certificationPALS certificationTCRN certificationCEN certificationCCRN certificationManagerial experienceSupervisory experienceNursing experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
BLS BLS - Basic Life Support (includes RQI) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatrics Course (ENPC) certification
Minimum five (5) years of professional/technical nursing experience required; preferably in an emergency or critical care nursing unit, with at least six months experience in trauma nursing

Preferred

Master degree in Nursing (preferred)
Specialty Certification in one or more of the following: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred
