Responsibilities

Understands accepted troubleshooting guidelines for PLC, control valves and all PLC logic
Possess overall knowledge of the installation, operation, repair, of assigned equipment
Maintains sufficient inventory of electrical supplies and repair parts to meet most emergency situations
Takes care of company vehicle, keeping it clean and organized
Reports any unsafe practices or actions to supervisor
Continues to look for better and more efficient ways of doing job
Keeps lines of communication open to supervisor and other company employees while meeting the needs of all customers
Makes callouts on equipment
Works with project managers, engineering and contractors on all new construction projects
Maintain all controls, monitor alarms and sensor tests
Troubleshooting and scheduling electrical maintenance for the assigned location
Solid understanding of electrical motor control
Knowledge of electrical prints and capable of making appropriate red-line changes to them
Assist PLC programming personnel
Good understanding of PLC cause and effect
Supervise electrical contractors
Job level will be commensurate with experience and knowledge

Required

High School degree or equivalent
General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations
Valid operating license with acceptable driving record under company insurers
Good verbal and written communication skills
Customer orientation
Ability to effectively present information in a one–on–one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues
Be able to make quick and reasonable decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions
Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment/tools
Climbs and works at various heights. May work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position
Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque
Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads
Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements
Subject to overtime and call-outs
Works mostly outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment
Required to climb about equipment and work in confined areas (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels)
May be subject to work in hazardous conditions including hydrocarbon vapor, adverse weather conditions, and extreme temperatures
Wears safety equipment as required

Preferred

Journeyman electrician
Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management application experience
