Responsibilities
Write and adapt Foundational Skills curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)
Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers
Incorporate evidence-based best practices in literacy foundational skills instruction (e.g., Science of Reading)
Revise materials based on client feedback
Support development of professional learning materials for teachers
Apply knowledge of current trends in foundational skills education
Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, or related field
Excellent writing skills required
Exceptional attention to detail
Commitment to educational equity
Comfort with project management tools and deadlines
Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask
Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines
Sense of humor and ability to work in a dynamic environment
Preferred
Strong familiarity with the US K-12 education system
Educational writing experience
Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching
