Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) including structured root-cause methods (8D/A3), verification of effectiveness, trend reduction, and risk-based decision making
Develop and approve process validation plans, applying DOE, statistical sampling, capability studies, and manufacturability readiness evaluations
Provides cross-departmental engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques. Reflects key learnings within DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and management of change activities
Own Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and calibration systems for the manufacturing process and product development, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, uncertainty assessment, and instrumentation readiness
Support design including qualifications, audits, PPAP reviews, supplier corrective actions, and incoming inspection criteria
Maintain and improve QMS compliance through document control, internal audits, training effectiveness, and management review inputs
Support product reliability and retention of field performance data, including testing plans, failure analysis, and updating FMEAs and control plans accordingly. Develop within cross functional groups preventative maintenance plans
Support production execution and quality controls, including quality plans, shop-floor training, disposition decisions, traceability, and inspection requirements
Lead continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives, applying Six Sigma/Lean tools to reduce COPQ, downtime, quality failures, and systemic variation
Run small to medium capital projects
Meet or exceed all company safety procedures and standards with the understanding that all injuries are preventable through appropriate risk reduction

Required

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline and 4+ years of experience in quality or process engineering
Structured problem solving and analytical skills including strong technical skills in statistical tools such as Design of Experiments
Exceptional mechanical aptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes)
Excellent project management, communication and organizational skills
U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required - we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time

Preferred

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001) preferred
Experience with new product introductions and in transitioning products from R&D to high volume manufacturing is highly desirable
Certified six sigma Green Belt and/or ASQ QE or auditor certification
Experience with chemical processes, automation and controls
Comfortable leading teams and small to midsize capital projects
Familiarity with CAD software, such as On Shape and GD&T standards
