Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing issues on products using proper service procedures and technics
Leading with the Daimler Values of passion, respect, integrity, and discipline
Providing assistance as required in all phases of problem resolution
Reading and interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, and schematics
Communicating well with customers, peers, and other departments
Performing other duties as required by the supervisor

Required

Chassis assembly experience desirable along with a solid background in the repair and troubleshooting of: FCCC product electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, and brake systems
Diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems
Steering system and axle alignment procedures
FCCC product HVAC (Heating and air conditioning)
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and schematics
Must be able to furnish own tools
Must be able to communicate well with customers, peers, and other departments
Provide assistance as required in all phases of problem resolution
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time required
Travel at short notice and work flexible hours
Must remain in this position for one year before being eligible for applying for other positions
Final candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application

Preferred

Two-year associate degree in automotive truck mechanics preferred with three to five years of experience in all facets of the repair and service of commercial vehicles
Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment
