They are seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance tasks, ensure functionality of systems, and uphold cleanliness in apartment buildings.

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

Required

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime as part of an on-call emergency rotation
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a comprehensive background check as a condition of employment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
Preferred
Previous experience in apartment maintenance, carpentry, and/or knowledge of HVAC would be an advantage
