Responsibilities
The Installation Technician will be responsible for the professional installation of a wide range of structured cabling, interactive flat panels, and audio/video equipment at various client sites
This dynamic role involves travel, including some overnight stays, to deliver exceptional service and intelligently connected environments
Installation Technicians will report directly to the Director of Installation Services and play a critical role in the successful completion of our installation projects
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to install, terminate, and test various low-voltage systems, including network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic), security systems (CCTV, access control), and audio/visual systems
Proficient in accurately reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct system layout and installation
Competence in the safe and effective use of a wide range of hand and power tools
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods in diverse environments, including standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and crawling in confined spaces, as well as working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, often exceeding 50 pounds
Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise tasks such as cable termination and working with small components
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Effective communication and customer service skills, with a strong attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently with minimal supervision
A strong aptitude for problem-solving, quick learning, analytical thinking, and persistence in resolving issues
