Registered Professional Land Surveyor
Andersen James Group is a multidisciplinary professional services firm seeking a Survey Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of land surveying services. The role involves project coordination, quality control, client satisfaction, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to business development efforts.
Responsibilities
Manage survey projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, staffing, and resources
Oversee project budgets and monitor financial performance, including revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization
Lead project team meetings to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and ensure alignment
Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in survey software, hardware, and equipment
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within survey operations
Collaborate with survey leadership to establish, implement, and maintain procedures and quality standards
Ensure consistent, high-quality survey deliverables and efficient project workflows
Support staffing, workload planning, and utilization for survey teams
Partner with survey and market leadership to grow local and national survey services, with a focus on strategic, large-scale projects
Contribute technical expertise to business development efforts and help generate new revenue
Foster a strong, collaborative survey team culture aligned with organizational values and objectives
Ensure adherence to company policies, professional standards, and ethical practices
Lead by example through professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and accountability
Qualification
Required
Professional Survey License preferred; candidates without licensure may be considered based on relevant experience
Strong understanding of land surveying principles and experience supporting civil engineering projects
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the land surveying industry
Demonstrated project management experience
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to exercise independent judgment
Proven leadership and supervisory abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
