Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgement and communication skills

Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment

Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior

Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials as required by site-specific policies

Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols

Collaborate with campus personnel and local law enforcement as needed during incidents and/or emergencies

Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to campus community members

Maintain a professional presence while carrying a firearm, adhering to all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies

Required

Supervisory experience is required

Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience

An armed guard card or license is required

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Participate in industry-specific security training programs

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
