Responsibilities
Day-to-day operational accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close processes
Own critical areas of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
Support and enhance the use of DelTek as our core operating system; help build best practices and improve system workflows
Build, maintain, and refine Excel models to support financial analysis, reporting, and operational decision-making
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve efficiency across the accounting function
Assist with preparation for audits, including supporting documentation, walkthroughs, and process explanations
Partner cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment of operational and financial data
Support ad-hoc projects, system improvements, workflow redesigns, and upcoming integrations/acquisitions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in Big 4 or large public accounting/audit
CPA preferred, CPA-eligible candidates will also be considered
Understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and data analysis
Experience with ERP systems; DelTek experience preferred
Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and propose solutions independently
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and process improvement skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Self-driven, proactive, and able to operate with minimal supervision
Preferred
Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible coursework
