The role involves overseeing multi-user computer systems, monitoring and maintaining servers and workstations, providing technical support, and ensuring the security of information systems.

Responsibilities
Oversee the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators as needed
Monitor, maintain, and support servers, workstations, and network devices to ensure optimal performance
Install and configure operating systems and application software on servers and government-furnished equipment (GFE)
Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues across the organization
Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory
Apply software patches and perform regular system updates to maintain security and functionality
Assist with system backups and conduct disaster recovery testing to safeguard data
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system enhancements
Escalate complex technical issues to senior administrators when necessary
Ensure the security and privacy of all information systems in accordance with organizational policies
Qualification
Required
0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows/Linux)
Security + Certification (or must have within 90 days of employment)
