Senior Director, Office of Global Education

Responsibilities
Oversee all daily operations with the department
Supervise and evaluate the International Student Advisors, the Study Abroad Advisors and the Global Education administrative positions, as well as student and volunteer support staff
Provide leadership and direction for all advising to international, exchange and study abroad students, international research scholars and professors
Ensure that the university is in compliance with all immigration regulations pertaining to international and exchange students
Serve as the liaison representative with the provost office, college deans office and immigration attorney for newly hired international full-time faculty regarding their immigration sponsorship with the university
Generate relevant, timely information for use with in domestic and international recruitment efforts and related partners
Qualification
Required
Oversight and direction of the Office of Global Education
Supervise and evaluate the International Student Advisors, the Study Abroad Advisors and the Global Education administrative positions
Provide leadership and direction for all advising to international, exchange and study abroad students, international research scholars and professors
Serve as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO)
Ensure compliance with all immigration regulations pertaining to international and exchange students
Serve as the liaison representative with the provost office, college deans office and immigration attorney for newly hired international full-time faculty regarding their immigration sponsorship
Generate relevant, timely information for use with domestic and international recruitment efforts and related partners
Full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP)
Required to work in person on campus
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including criminal records check) is required prior to beginning employment
Considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act
Required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017
Designated position in the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code
Required to file Conflict of Interest forms subject to the regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission
