Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. They are seeking a Research and Development Intern to gain exposure to various aspects of R&D in a manufacturing environment, focusing on nonwoven media and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Work with R&D team on process efficiency improvements, cost savings, new business development projects and/or technology advancement

Work with scientists, engineers and identify properties of the different kind of nonwoven filter media

Hands on testing for the various properties for the filter media

Participate in new customer trials

Work with leadership to modify or create standard operating procedures

Project work as assigned by R&D management

Required

Individual must be currently enrolled and working toward a degree with a concentration in Chemical Engineering or Textile Engineering discipline

Student will need to have completed a minimum of 1-full years of course work with preference for individuals who have completed 2-full years

Any experience in the field of filtration media or testing non wovens is a huge advantage

Preference is a minimum 3.0 GPA in your academic field of study

Must have solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business
