Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable communication between different software systems

Define and document API specifications, endpoints, data models, and protocols - REST, GraphQL

Build and implement APIs using programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Python

Ensure seamless integration of APIs with internal and external systems, applications, and third-party services

Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for APIs. Debug and resolve issues to ensure reliability and performance

Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for API consumers, including usage examples and best practices

Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions

Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

5+ years Experience with API Development using Java, .Net, and/or ASP.Net

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

Operate under a hybrid system requiring residence within a commutable distance to one of the US Delivery Center locations: Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg

Spend up to 30% of working time co-located at an assigned office for orchestrated opportunities, including projects, practice sessions, training, and Moments That Matter at a Deloitte Delivery Center location, Geo-Hub location, approved site, or project location

Maximum of 10% overnight travel for client or project purposes
