Part-time Financial Analyst

KCD is seeking a Part-Time Financial Analyst to assist the finance team in financial operations focusing on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Event reconciliation. The role involves creating and processing event invoices, maintaining vendor payment ledgers, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Create and process event invoices according to client agreements, record accounts receivables, follow up on payments and book journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Review and submit vendor invoices to specific projects and GL accounts, and allocate costs as needed
Maintain Vendor payment ledgers for larger events. Ensure that all required vendor documentation is provided and accurate: (Vendor Invoices, Vendor Forms, W-9s, etc.). Verify ledgers are updated properly with status of Vendor Payments, and any changes are communicated to all team members. For smaller events, confirm all vendors are in approved budget
Assist close out events on a monthly basis based on reporting period
Ensure all postings for revenue, expense, contra-expense are recorded properly and within the recognition period of event(s)
Reconcile, record and prepare payment for the monthly American Express including receipts and coding. (Completed by 10th of every month for prior month and reviewed by Finance Manager)
Assist with clerical duties when needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
3+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and financial software (Sage preferred)
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints
Ability to work beyond the presented issues to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Success in partnering with all levels within the organization and with clients
Strong technical accounting and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Preferred

Industry experience within media relations/creative production in fashion & luxury retail space a plus
Certified Public Accountant or MBA a plus
