Responsibilities

Sail and serve aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear as a Licensed Watch Engineer – Engine for the 2026 Summer Sea Term
Report directly to the Chief Engineer of the Training Ship Golden Bear
Be responsible for various watches
Participate in drills
Supervise assistant watch engineers in their duties

Qualification

Required

Knowledge and experience in an engine department with planning, and performing engine, plumbing, and electrical work for the maintenance and upkeep of the training ship plant and housing facilities
Knowledge and experience with maintenance and repairs required for compliance with USCG and ABS standards
Knowledge of maintaining accurate shipboard maintenance records
Unlimited U.S. Coast Guard motor license
All current STCW endorsements including an active medical certificate valid for STCW
Valid TWIC card
Valid Passport
