Auctions

Responsibilities

Assist clients viewing auctions items inside and outside of display cases
Answer general non-technical questions (sale dates, times, etc.)
Provide quality customer service
Call specialists as needed for technical information and/or specific inquiries on property
Assist in preventing theft by following security procedures
Deliver lots to customers as indicated on collection slip; obtain signatures; file collection slips appropriately
Answer general questions
Assist in preventing theft by following security procedures
Assisting in general department administration where necessary
Unpack and pack boxes
Help set-up sales
Polish silver
Calling department lists to remind customers of upcoming previews
In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your manager

Required

Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer services skills and desire to work with the public
Enthusiastic and calm under pressure, with a common sense approach

Fluency in English necessary
Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours
Business attire required
Interest in Jewelry, Fine Art, Antiques, and Collectibles
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions
Must be multi-functional and able to shift priorities quickly and easily
