Responsibilities

Principal responsibility for and oversight of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for Northwestern Pritzker School of Law

Initiate, develop, and implement strategies to promote the brand and reputation of the Law School and its various programs

Identify, realize, and implement a strategic vision that is driven by the Dean and draws on the academic excellence, research, technological and educational innovation within the School

Advance awareness of the Dean’s vision and leadership, School’s mission and program excellence among key audiences

Integrate all School communications vehicles and strategies (print, online, social media, content marketing, etc.) to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely information across the School’s spectrum of communications in order to achieve enrollment, advancement, and key strategic initiatives and goals

Establish, manage, and strengthen relationships with reporters associated with key print and digital media outlets in target geographic markets nationally and internationally

Work closely with colleagues throughout the Law School and University to develop and manage initiatives to increase the visibility and impact of the School's dean, faculty, students, and alumni in the press and legal and business community

Measure, track, and work to increase volume of placements within target print and digital media sources about and by Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and its constituents

Work closely with and serve as the Law School’s primary contact with Northwestern University’s Vice Presidents and Departments of Global Marketing and University Relations

Stay abreast of communications and market trends, as well as new technologies, and oversee the implementation of innovative mechanisms and/or modifications of existing practices

Identify best practices for outreach strategies by conducting market research and analyzing data

Assist the Dean and others with drafting and placing Op-eds in national outlets

Establish and manage the Law School’s crisis communication protocols

Lead and manage a talented team of seven full-time employees engaged in all areas of a successful marketing and communications team

Fiscal responsibility for all communications initiatives, including an operating budget of approximately $200,000

Bachelor's degree
