Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and review of accounting documents and fiscal reports for accuracy, compliance with laws, regulations and accounting procedures and ensure that expenditures are within authorized budgets

Prepare clean claims for MRU according to insurance (S) regulations, billing procedures and state and federal law with no more than 3 errors per month

Update Avatar dictionaries to accommodate new charges, physician information, ICD codes and default settings to ensure clean billing

Track electronic claims payments and make necessary corrections to enable re-bill

Required

High School diploma or Equivalency

six (6) months experience in bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance

Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience

Employment is subject to nationwide criminal background check and is conditional pending results

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License

Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment

Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds

Some travel with the occasional overnight stay may be required
