Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain an Avalanche Subnet (custom L1 blockchain)
Including chain configuration, genesis generation, Subnet-EVM customization, and P-Chain registration
Build and extend custom Virtual Machines (VMs) or modify Subnet-EVM parameters to meet product, performance, or economic requirements
Stand up validator infrastructure, including node configuration, staking logic, testnet/mainnet deployment, and automated onboarding flows
Develop and maintain chain tooling (CLI scripts, SDK integrations, monitoring infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, health checks)
Design and implement chain-level parameters such as gas strategy, block time, chain ID, fee structure, and upgrade mechanisms
Manage end-to-end network lifecycle: local testing, Fuji testnet deployments, migration, validator coordination, and production readiness
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
3+ years of experience in blockchain engineering, distributed systems, or protocol development
Strong proficiency in Golang (Avalanche VMs & node implementations) and familiarity with EVM internals / Solidity tooling
Hands-on experience running or developing validators, blockchain nodes, or similar distributed systems
Experience deploying and managing Subnets, Cosmos chains, L1/L2 infrastructure, or EVM-based networks
Deep understanding of consensus mechanisms, P2P networking, state management, and blockchain security fundamentals
Experience with cryptography basics: key management, signing, multisig workflows, secure secrets handling
