Early Career Substation Civil/Structural Engineer
WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm in the U.S. seeking an Early Career Substation Civil/Structural Engineer for their Billings, Montana office. The role involves supporting the department in civil design for substations and transmission line design while maintaining high-quality standards and promoting teamwork.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions
Qualification
Required
A BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred
Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
Structural analysis design software experience is a plus
Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering is desirable
Engineer In Training (EIT) registrations is desired
