Responsibilities

Lead medium to large-scale healthcare projects from concept through construction

Apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications

Manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts

Review existing as-built drawings

Perform field investigations

Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines

Coordinate design schedules and deliverables

Conduct feasibility studies

Prepare schematic designs

Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE

Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules

Design lighting systems and controls

Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems

Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

7-10 years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings

Ability to lead projects from concept through construction

Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards

AutoCAD required

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification

LEED Accreditation

PE License

Revit experience

California Building Code or Washington Building Code

National Electrical Code

For California: HCAI/OSHPD experience
