Meter is a company that builds networking hardware essential for business connectivity. They are seeking an Industrial and Packaging Designer to shape product aesthetics and usability, focusing on the entire product experience from packaging to installation.

Responsibilities

You'll work directly with mechanical engineers, manufacturers, and installers to bring ideas to life in practical, real-world ways

You will sketch early concepts, refine them in CAD, and create 3D models and renders for internal reviews, while learning to validate feasibility with the engineering team

You will also design packaging structures that reduce material waste and improve protection and assembly, support prototype reviews with manufacturers, and prepare 2D artwork for packaging and product labeling

You will participate in design reviews, test physical samples, and iterate quickly based on feedback from the team

Required

Foundational skills in industrial design and a strong eye for form, proportion, and detail

Comfortable with, or actively learning, tools like Rhino or Creo, Keyshot, and Adobe CC

Ability to explain design thinking clearly and open to feedback and iteration

A portfolio that shows thoughtful problem-solving, even if projects are academic, personal, or exploratory
