Responsibilities
Train, develop and mentor a team of Production Planners
Approve monthly order placement
Manage, communicate and execute future order projections
Develop and implement strategies with key vendors to optimize product flexibility and partnership
Understand current business trends and proactively chase products to ensure high level of customer service
Identify opportunities in buying strategy, propose solutions and communicate a unified direction to the team
Work closely with Merchandising, Product Development and Production Planning to communicate current business trends in sales and inventory
Provide input for determining ideal depth of inventory to support both Network and Warehouse depth of inventory goals
Develop and execute new Programs and Reporting with the IT Team
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all policies and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
7-9 years of applicable work experience in apparel planning
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel
Strong financial and analytical skills and background
Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Creative problem solving and negotiation skills
Understanding of supply chain dynamics
Organized and ability to prioritize
Lead and motivate others
Responsive to staff needs including professionalism, respect, and consideration of others
Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
Be able to work under pressure within a time frame
