Responsibilities
Define the strategy and roadmap for DigitalOcean’s Databases offerings
Work closely with engineering and design to deliver performant, reliable, and delightful experiences
Partner with developer relations, marketing, and sales to drive awareness, adoption, and retention
Conduct deep customer research and usability testing to inform prioritization and validate solutions
Track competitive trends in the PaaS and serverless space to identify opportunities for differentiation
Collaborate with internal platform and infrastructure teams to ensure services are scalable and cost-efficient
Qualification
Required
10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years focused on databases
Fluency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, others), no-sql (MongoDB, Linux foundation DocDB etc), vector databases and AI initiatives in databases
Strong technical understanding and collaboration with engineering teams
Experience owning full product lifecycles—from strategy and ideation to launch and iteration
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross-functional influence
Preferred
