Project and Policy Analyst 2
UCLA is home to the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability (LARC), which aims to enhance regional resilience to climate impacts. Engaging in state and regional policy development
Supporting municipal climate planning efforts
Facilitating dialogue between key decision makers and stakeholders
Distributing cutting edge research
Creating valuable tools and resources
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of municipal climate action and adaptation planning processes
Working knowledge of MailChimp, social media platforms, and/or Squarespace
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrates ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns
Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Occasional attendance at offsite conferences and meetings
Preferred
2+ years Experience in business administration and coordinating logistics with partners
2+ years Experience in policy research, specifically preparing, editing, and modifying documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals
1+ years Experience in grant writing and implementation of grant-funded projects
1+ years Experience in facilitating community-engaged meetings and relationship building
1+ years Experience creating and managing newsletters, social media content, and other public-facing communications materials
Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
Occasional evening and/or weekend work
