Responsibilities
Reconcile bank statements for agency depository accounts monthly
Prepare and submit timely monthly financials for component business units- GCEDD, LDC and AERCO
Maintain and reconcile EDA loan report
Reconcile general ledger accounts quarterly
Review and verify project codes on expenditures to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and regulations
Other accounting duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of Governmental Accounting principles
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks & prioritize deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
Familiarity with general ledger systems.H-GAC uses MIP accounting system
A degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
Less than 1 year of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
