The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining robotic welding equipment, while continuously improving weld programs and providing training to employees.

Responsibilities
Robotic programming and operation
Assist with installation of new and existing robotic systems
Develop and maintain MIG and laser welding programs for new and existing fixtures
Continuously improve weld programs to reduce cycle time and enhance quality
Operate robotic welders to produce parts to specification
Measure and verify welded parts against print and quality standards
Provide training to employees on proper robot operation
Assist in writing work instructions and documentation
Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist in 5S throughout department
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in MIG welding; certifications preferred
Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
Strong shop math skills
Skilled in using precision measuring tools; capable of measuring tolerances to thousandths of an inch
Self-starter with initiative to complete projects independently
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company processes, tooling, and trade secrets
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with multiple variables under strict standards
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
High school diploma required
Robotic welder programming experience required
Minimum two years MIG welding experience
Preferred
Minimum two years laser operating experience in steel fabrication, tool & die, or sheet metal environment preferred
