Manufacturing Engineer (Facilities, Jigs and Tools)

Isuzu North America is seeking a driven and experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Facilities, Jigs and Tools) to help launch operation initiatives at their new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. The role focuses on supporting vehicle production by planning and executing the setup of equipment, jigs, and tools, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance assembly processes and ensure mass production quality.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute preparation of equipment, jigs, and tools for vehicle production
Design and implement work processes to support mass production quality for various vehicle types
Ensure manufacturing readiness for N-Gas, N-EV, F-Diesel, and F-EV models
Identify and provide solutions to potential issues in vehicle assembly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges
Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, safety, and efficiency
Maintain up-to-date documentation and process standards for assembly operations
Contribute to lean manufacturing practices and standard work development

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Production Management, or related field
Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a related engineering role, preferably in automotive manufacturing
Knowledge of quality control technologies (e.g., TQM, SPC)
Strong understanding of design principles and technical drawing standards
Experience with assembling tools, fixtures, and jigs
Proficient in interpreting and applying dimensional tolerances
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Skilled in preparing mechanical drawings and plant layouts
Capable of developing and delivering training and presentations

Preferred

Experience in OEM or automotive manufacturing
Familiarity with lean systems like TPS
CAD software proficiency (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks)
Working knowledge of ERP or MES systems
