Veterinary Production Analyst
Blue River PetCare is a multi-state owner and operator of high-quality veterinary hospitals. They are seeking a Veterinary Production Analyst who will be responsible for calculating and maintaining production-based compensation for veterinarians, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and collaborating with key teams such as Finance and Payroll.
Responsibilities
Calculate individual veterinarian production compensation based on contract terms, including revenue splits, guaranteed base pay, bonuses, and incentives
Ensure accurate application of contractual provisions, such as tiered percentages, deductions, and adjustments
Reconcile monthly production reports, identifying and correcting discrepancies before payroll processing
Review and interpret individual DVM contracts to apply appropriate compensation structures
Conduct regular audits of production calculations to ensure alignment with contractual agreements
Identify and investigate inconsistencies in production or payment reports and resolve them with Field Operations and Payroll
Provide compensation and production data for financial reporting and forecasting
Ensure accurate and timely processing of production-based pay
Support clinic managers and regional leaders with insights into production compensation trends
Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline production compensation calculations and reporting
Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal regulations regarding compensation practices
Assist in system upgrades or transitions impacting production tracking and financial reporting
Respond to veterinarian inquiries regarding production calculations and payments
Perform additional duties and projects assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, compensation calculations, or veterinary/hospital provider pay structures; bachelor's degree preferred
Experience interpreting employment contracts, particularly production-based compensation models
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling)
Experience with veterinary practice management software (e.g., Cornerstone, AVImark, eVet) and financial tracking systems
Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations
Ability to communicate complex compensation structures to veterinarians, field teams, and leadership
Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Remain in seated position at least 75% of the time
Ability to communicate via email, phone, and video conferencing
Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and mouse when working
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 lbs
