Responsibilities
Review KPI’s and financial reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Assist in month end close processes
Complete balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure that appropriate controls and compliance processes are in place and being followed
Make recommendations for process improvements and automation opportunities
Prepare journal entries including “HUD” entries for all types of real estate transactions
Prepare various schedules as required by management
Prepare planned and ad-hoc reports
Play a lead role in debt management tracking and maintenance
Assist in planning and implementing special projects planned for 2024 and 2025
Willingness to learn and think ‘out of the box'
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Four-year degree in accounting (experience can substitute a four-year degree)
2-3 years accounting experience (within homebuilding, construction or manufacturing industries a plus)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in recording accounting entries (accruals, prepaids) and creating journal entries
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required; high proficiency in Excel is a must
