The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking dynamic and passionate students for an internship at Presque Isle State Park Complex. The selected intern will engage in various facets of park operations, assist in designing camp programs, organize digital archives, and contribute to educational exhibits while interacting with park visitors.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with park staff to design and implement camp programs

Organizing the facility's digital photo archive

Assisting in the preparation and installation of exhibits at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center

Engaging directly with the public to foster appreciation for the natural environment

Required

Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: Biology/Environmental Education, Education (Elementary or Secondary), Parks and Recreation, or an approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences

Freshman year completed by May 2026

Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)

Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension

You must be able to perform essential job functions

In accordance with Act 153 of 2014, this position is required to complete Child Abuse, Criminal and Federal Criminal History Checks within 10 days of hire
