Senior LevelExpandIQ is a high-growth SaaS company seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant for a 3-month contract. The role focuses on supporting revenue close activities and operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and working closely with various teams to maintain accurate and audit-ready revenue processes.

Responsibilities
Own and execute core revenue accounting processes under ASC 606 (identification of performance obligations, allocation, timing of revenue recognition, contract modifications)
Review customer contracts and order forms; document conclusions and ensure consistent application of revenue policies
Prepare and/or review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close support (deferred revenue, accrued revenue, contract assets/liabilities)
Partner with Billing/AR to ensure invoicing and revenue schedules align with contract terms
Support ongoing improvements to revenue workflows and controls to increase close efficiency and reduce risk
Assist with audit support, including tie-outs, schedules, and revenue documentation
Qualification
Required
Senior-level revenue accounting experience in SaaS and/or subscription-based business models
Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 (you've applied it, not just studied it)
Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite (revenue schedules, reporting, GL, and close workflows)
Ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Strong Excel/Sheets skills and comfort working through messy datasets to get to clean outputs
Preferred
Experience with deal desk / quoting nuances (multi-element arrangements, discounts, amendments, renewals)
Familiarity with revenue tools (e.g., RevPro, Zuora Revenue, Salesforce CPQ) and/or systems integrations
Prior audit experience or experience supporting external auditors
