Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for conducting process hazard analysis (PHA’s) as well as being the engineering point person for explosive safety considerations

Conduct analysis of processes for explosive safety, generate technical reports and present those in formal settings

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the workplace

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards

Perform risk assessments and enforce preventative measures

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations

Lead incident investigations and develop reports outlining findings

Facilitate safety training sessions for employees and managers

Monitor the implementation of safety initiatives and programs

Provide guidance and advice on technical and process safety issues

Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place

Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
