Responsibilities
Patient Interaction: Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information
Scheduling: Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services
Support: Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions
Technology: Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal
Financial Advocacy: Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources
Compliance: Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations
Admin Tasks: Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties
Qualification
Required
Weekend availability required to support the hours of operation
Completion of high school or equivalent
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73
Preferred
Customer Service Experience Preferred
Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred
Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred
